What is Cold Process Soap?
Cold process soap is one of the purest and most traditional methods of soap making. It involves carefully mixing oils and butters with a natural alkali (lye), which causes a chemical reaction called saponification. This process transforms the ingredients into soap while retaining the natural glycerin produced, which is excellent for moisturizing the skin. Unlike commercial soaps, which often strip the skin of its natural oils, cold process soap nourishes the skin while providing a gentle, long-lasting clean.
